Continental School, 19th century. Hand carved and polychromed wood female santo or saint figurine. Figure with ascetic dark cloak worn over head and shoulders over white draped robe garment. Woman with pious gesture and facial expression, looking slightly up and with hands clasped together in prayer. Raised on a primitive wood base with sloped side. Overall height 8.75".
