Philadelphia: A. Steuart, n.d. (c. 1765-1769) 16mo, publisher's boards, spine perished but text block sturdy, unpaginated, A-I16. Ownership inscriptions from the Foott family (Mary, Elisbeth and James), dated 1770 (Elisbeth), and another dated 1829, to the preliminary blanks and endpapers. The first American edition of this rare thumb bible was published in 1763 and is considered the first miniature book printed in America.
