French, late 19th/early 20th century. Large carved walnut wood bibliotheque in Louis XIII style with cornice top with protruding tapered sections supported by barley twist columns, four hinged glazed doors with arched glass open to reveal adjustable shelved storage within, lower section with barley twist accents and four hinged doors with paneled fronts ornamented with carved scenes representing areas of study including art, music, geography and mathematics, overall supported on large bun feet. Overall approximate height 107", width 130", depth 23". Provenance: Jacqueline Adams Antiques, Atlanta, Georgia whereby acquired by a Private Collection in Atlanta, Georgia.
