Illustrated throughout with numerous tipped-in chromolithographic plates featuring period costumed attendees of a ball, a Quadrille, held by the Austrian royal family. Upper cover stamped with the Austrian family double-headed eagle coat of arms. Attendees included famous patrons of period composers, such as Prince Kinski, Beethoven's patron, and Prince Clary, one of Chopin's patrons. Only one other copy is located in France. Foxing to plates; wear to boards.
