Catalogue published for the Exposition Internationale du Surrealisme organised by Andre Breton and Marcel Duchamp in Paris at the Galerie Maeght in July-August 1947. First edition, one of 999 copies with 24 original hors-texte prints, comprising five color lithographs by Brauner, Ernst, Lam and Miro, five etchings by Bellmer, Marcel Jean, Maria, Tanguy and Dorothea Tanning, two woodcuts by Arp and twelve black and white lithographs by Brignoni, Calder, Capacci, van Damne, de Diego, Donati, David Hare, Jacqueline Lamba, Matta, Kay Sage, Tanguy and Toyen. Minor soiling to wraps; some minor edge darkening to text leaves; stamp to verso f.f.e.p.; otherwise plates are in fine condition.
