Meiji Period, Tokyo School, the finely carved figure with amber and horn inlaid eyes, in a standing pose with single hand raised holding a small fish, with his robe and ribbons blowing in the wind, holding a fishing pole in his left hand and having a quiver with arrows slung over his right shoulder, raised on a naturalistic oval base, having carved three character signature with red ink wash on underside. Height 10 3/4 inches.
