Illuminated pedigree of Guynemer or Guignemer family, c. 1850. Folio, 20 pp., bound in green morocco with gilt-stamped coat of arms to both boards, decorative endpapers, folding case. Text in French. Elaborately illuminated vignettes, Arms, and frames hand-colored in gilt, blue, red, green and pink. Presumably commissioned by an Italian relation to the French aristocratic Guynemer family, which included the famous French flying ace, George Guynemer. Hinges cracked with some leaves starting; heavy foxing throughout; case worn; otherwise fine.
