Georgetown, (Kentucky): David Barrow, 1816. 12mo, full calf, spine ruled in gilt. An early Kentucky imprint and one of the rarest anti-slavery tracts. First published in London in 1785, Clarkson's essay won first prize at University of Cambridge and was published twice in Philadelphia before Barrow's printing in Kentucky. Rubbing to boards; dampstaining to endpapers; some browning to pages; otherwise fine.
