American, early 19th century (circa 1820). Southern American Empire sofa (likely from New Orleans, Louisiana) with feathered mahogany veneered frame with undulating back, rounded arms, and bowfront. Sofa with rose form detail on lower edge above bracket form feet. Sofa with blue brocade and striped fabric upholstery. Height 34.5", width (across arms) 80", depth 24".
