A two page handwritten letter "To the countryside" by Frank Lloyd Wright dated June 8, 1926, signed and with several hand corrections. Written as a response and public apology to the community due to the media frenzy resulting from his second wife, Miriam Noel Wright, in the company of several Chicago reporters, trying to gain access to Wright's Taliesin home and being barred by his employees. The letter was published two days later in the "Weekly Home News" of Spring Green, Wisconsin. Also, with a typed manuscript with the heading "Home New(s), June 10, 1926" describing the event and scorning the Chicago reporters who appear to have staged it. Manuscript, 3pp., largest 11 x 7 1/2 inches.
