RARE & IMPORTANT PAUL DeLAMERIE STERLING SILVER COFFEE POT English. London. 1714. Of lighthouse form engraved with a crest and applied with a double scroll wood handle. Height 9 5/8". (28 oz) Note: As Lamerie entered his first maker's mark at Goldsmiths' Hall on February 5, 1713, this coffee pot is one of the earliest surviving works by him. There is only one other coffee pot by Lamerie marked in 1714 known (illustrated in Susan Hare, Paul de Lamerie, 1990, Cat. No. 5, Illus. p. 33)
