Hamburg: Richard von Sichowsky Press, 1957 4to. , vellum backed boards; slipcase. Printed for James Laughlin with woodcuts by Gerhard Marcks (1889-1974). One of 250 copies signed by Thomas Merton and Gerhard Marcks. Marcks was director of the Pottery Workshop at the Bauhaus, the progressive German design school at Weimar, from 1919-25. A fine copy in a lightly soiled publisher's slipcase.
