$4,800
New York: Harrison Smith & Robert Haas, 1932 8vo. 480 pp. Stated First Printing. "Jefferson" instead of "Mottstown" on page 340, line 1. Bound in beige cloth, with bold blue lettering to the spine and bright orange, fore-edges are rough-cut. A fine copy whose spine is nearly imperceptibly cocked. No wear or bumping, clean and tight throughout—not even a hint of toning along the gutter papers. In the original, completely unrestored blue and orange dust wrapper that retains the publisher's price of $2.50 in the bottom right of the front flap, is barely trimmed at the corners of the flaps, and is lightly rubbed on the rear panel; the spine panel is just a shade sunned and there are a few small closed tears in the edges (nothing deeper that 13 mm.). A fine copy housed in a custom clamshell box of blue cloth with a gilt-stamped blue morocco spine label.
