Silhouette black printing on the title page illustration is deep and rich. "W.F. Hall Printing Company, Chicago" set in one line of Old English font on copyright page. Gold lettering on the front cover and backstrip. "P.L. Ripley" written on free end paper. Wear to edges and extremes of boards and backstrip; fading and soiling to boards; fading and soiling to backstrip; gold lettering darkened, but intact, on the backstrip; text clean.
