London: George G. Harrap & Co. Ltd., 1931 4to. 224 pp. First Arthur Rackham Edition. This is No. 507 of 775 copies signed by Rackham just below the limitation statement. Bound in the publisher's original full vellum with gilt lettering and decoraton to the spine. Gilt lettering and gilt-stamped triple-rule border on the front board. Illustrated throughout with numerous black and white headings and tail-pieces, as well as 12 color plates—all present, intact, and in fine condition with fine tissue guards. Tops of the leaves are gilt, fore-edges and bottoms are untrimmed; pictorial endpapers by Rackham. The vellum is clean and quite bright, while the spine is just a shade toned, as usual. There is a nearly imperceptible 1 cm. crack in the vellum at the bottom of the front hinge. Housed in a custom gilt-stamped clam-shell box of white cloth, which is only minimally soiled in spots. A fine copy with bright leaves.
