Kangxi period (1662-1722), each of ovoid form with short incurved unglazed neck, decorated with nine reserves of varying size and shape with flowers and birds and a landscape with a fisherman set upon powder blue ground with gilt decorations of crustaceans and aquatic plants, the covers with a central medallion of a boy among lotus and tendrils, each jar resting upon straight pedestal foot with slightly recessed underfoot, marked with double rings in underglaze blue. Height with cover 13 inches.
