Chinese carved animal grouping of a mother elephant and her baby calf. Figures depicted in a comforting embrace with the mother's tusk resting on her calf's back, the calf with her trunk extended to the mother's front foot. Raised on a carved wooden stand. Jade figural group height 3.5 inches, width 6.5 inches, depth 2.75 inches. Overall height (including stand) 4.75 inches. According to the consignor, purchased in Singapore in 1987.
