Continental School, Late 19th/Early 20th century. Cast (possibly plaster) figural sculpture group depicting a young Classical styled beauty in a draped dress with curled and braided hair pouring liquid from a handled vessel into a footed bowl held by a standing nude winged cherub. A large winged bird, presumably an eagle or swan drinks from bowl. Imagery could reference the story of Leda and the Swan. Height 44.5 inches, width 23 inches, depth 13.5 inches. Provenance: From the Estate of Mr. Thomas V. and Mrs. Marie B. Patton, Atlanta, Georgia.
