the small deep box decorated with gold and techniques, the cover depicting the back of a Japanese man wearing kimono decorated with chrysanthemum heads and geometric design, the sides having further chrysanthemum and other flower heads against a diaper ground, the interior and the base applied with technique, having an interior tray decorated with a seated male figure, a horse, a bird, carp and flora, the base bearing a two-character maker's mark. Length 4 inches.
