of rectangular form with indented edges and corners, the exterior decorated with figures and horses under pine trees issuing from rockery in a landscape scene, the shoulders flanked by two elephant head-form handles, the interior with swimming carps amongst seaweed decoration, the cover painted to depict a male figure training a horse within an outdoor scene, signed having a lotus bud shaped finial, bearing a four-character Daoguang mark in underglaze blue to the underside.
