the bodhisattva depicted sitting on a lotus leaf above waves with her left foot resting on a lotus flower, the right hand bearing an amphora vase with water pouring out forming the waves and her left hand holding prayer beads, wearing draped robes opening to the chest decorated with a beaded necklace, her hair pulled to a high chignon and secured with a tiara carved to the center with a seated Buddha, the back of the body impressed with a square seal mark and a two-character mark within a gourd-form panel. Height 12 1/4 inches.
