Donatus Buongiorno (Italian/American 1865-1935) "The Flower Seller". Oil on canvas painting depicting a young female flower seller in a pink and cream colored dress and head scarf seated on a building's steps with two baskets of brightly colored pink flowers next to her. The woman has a white dove perched on her hand as a few other birds nibble on crumbs before her feet. Signed lower right "D. Buongiorno". Work contained in a fine period frame. Framed 27.5 inches x 21.25 inches. Unframed 18 inches x 12 inches.
