Chinese, 19th century. Two framed Chinese hand painted textile panels, likely on silk, depicting children at play (100 boys motif). One with fifteen male children playing in an outdoor setting a game involving flags, some boys holding red flags, the other with blue flags, landscape with pink cherry blossoms stemming from behind large blue rock embankment, smaller figure at one end ornately dressed, possibly a higher ranking court figure. The other with ten children climbing on rocks and trees, some assisting others by hoisting them up or carrying them on their backs, a younger child runs behind trying to catch up to the group. Textile panels contained in matching frames. Framed 26.75" x 18". Sight size approximately 19.25" x 11".
