Louis Majorelle (French, 1859-1926). Circa 1905, three piece carved gilt wood salon suite comprising of a settee and two armchairs in “Aubépines” pattern. Each piece with ornate carved gilt wood frame upholstered in pink fabric with brightly colored stripe motif. Settee height 33.5", width 50", depth 26.5". Seat to floor 18". Armchair height 33.25", width (across arms) 27", depth 26.5". Seat to floor 17.5". Provenance: Sotheby's New York: Twentieth Century Decorative Works of Art, March 12, 1999 as Lot 193 whereby acquired by Mrs. Dorothy Edwards, Atlanta, Georgia.
