French gilt bronze and alabaster mantel clock with circular white enamel clock face with hand painted pink flowers alternating with black numbers marked "Bartemann a Paris" behind hinged glazed door below black slate urn form topped by acorn finial and flanked by birds with scrolled foliate bodies and draped chain held in mouth. Leaved and floral swag with ribbon below clock face. Sides with black slate columns topped with alabaster urns with beaded, leaved and floral bronze mounts above an alabaster base raised on six feet. Height 20.3", width 14.4", depth 5.6". Provenance: Sotheby's New York: Arcade Auction: Decorations, French and Continental Furniture, September 10, 1998 as Lot 758 whereby acquired by Mrs. Dorothy Edwards, Atlanta, Georgia.
