19th century. Pair of George III style satinwood and amaranth ormolu mounted floor display pedestals in the style of Benjamin Vulliamy (British, 1747–1811). Pedestals with urn and swag ormolu mounts under square top, Neoclassical scrolled and leaf tip capitals flanking circular ormolu medallion with figural scenes (one of man with dog carrying staff with game to woman and child, the other with older seated man and woman in interior). Ormolu banded accents throughout. Height 46.5", width 14.125", depth 12.2". Provenance: Sotheby's New York, October 21-22, 1999 as Lot 292 whereby acquired by Mrs. Dorothy Edwards, Atlanta, Georgia.
