19th century. Regency style mahogany armchair with checkered rope inlaid decoration throughout as well as bell flowers, winged cherubs holding leaved wreath, floral, and interlacing button motif. Chair with two back slats, scrolled arms and raised on four splayed legs. Seat upholstered in green and gold accented floral silk upholstery. Height 34.3", width (across arms) 22", depth 19". Seat to floor 20". Provenance: From the Collection of Mrs. Dorothy Edwards, Atlanta, Georgia.
