Continental School, 19th century. 800 silver figural inkwell with two winged cherubs writing in a book with a feathered quill in medallion at top above lidded inkwells with glass inserts toped with pointed finials. Scrolled arabesques, foliate and floral motif throughout. Marked on underside of inkwell lids with 800. Marked on edge of inkwells and underneath with pictorial marks including swan. Height 3.75", width 10.5", depth 7.9". Total weight 49 troy ounces. Provenance: From the Collection of Mrs. Dorothy Edwards, Atlanta, Georgia.
