THIS LOT IS BEING SOLD WITHOUT RESERVE PROVENANCE: Inherited by the present owner from Maria Fedorovskaya, Ukrainian ? migr?, renowned gypsy dancer, and later founder of the famous New York Russian restaurant, Christ on the cross with the city walls of Jerusalem visible behind his feet and the summit of Golgotha and the skull of Adam below, background covered with black and white enamel. The verso shows an engraved Cross and the text in Cyrillic. 35 x 17.5 cm. (13 3/4 x 6 3/4 in.)
