Bobrinsky's extensive handwritten commentary on many pages. Each volume profusely illusrated in the text with photographs and drawings, approximately 300 x 220 mm and 150 pages each. Good condition. Count Aleksey Alexandrovich Bobrinsky (1852-1927) was an accomplished archaeologist, Chairman of the Imperial Archaeological Commission, Vice-President of the Imperial Academy of Arts, and Chairman of the Free Economic Society. Bobrinsky emigrated from Russia in 1919 and died in Nice, France in 1927.
