Dear Mr. Cassel: Professor Hermann Weyl and I have given Mr. Bernays, who is personally known by me, a lot of thought, without finding the right solution. You know yourself, how difficult it is to bring Jews and double difficult foreign Jews to the University, if not certain vanities can be satisfied with big names. Additionally, Bernay is not very young anymore. If you know of a Town, which would give Bernay any prospects, I would of course invest myself in helping. I will also again discuss the matter with my colleagues here. With friendly greetings Your A. Einstein
