The round skeletonized dial with no chapters and black enameled hands, is surrounded by a double row of approximately 100 single-cut round diamonds totaling approximately 1ct., and graded F-G color and VVS clarity, within an 18K yellow gold case attached to a later added leather strap and 18K yellow gold Piaget clasp, with blue suede signed slip case. Reportedly gifted to Miles Davis on behalf of the Swiss government in appreciation for his contribution to the art of jazz by Claude Nobs, founder of the Montreux Jazz Festival, and subsequently worn by Davis during his last Montreux performance.
