An Elvis Presley stage played 1972 Martin D-28 acoustic guitar, serial number 296978. Presley used this guitar in the mid- to late 1970s both on and off stage. The guitar was given by Presley to his friend Norman Taurog, director of many of Presley's films. Accompanied by three letters of authenticity: one from Taurog's son Jonathan, a letter of provenance from Chris Davidson of the Elvis-A-Rama Museum explaining how he originally purchased the guitar, and a letter of affirmation from the current owner.
