A knife used by Jim Bowie, played by Scott Forbes in The Adventures of Jim Bowie (Desilu Productions, 1956-1958). This signature knife has a steel blade, hardwood handle, a brass strip along the top ridge, and a brass quillion blade stop. Other decorative detailing includes a series of small brads in a circular pattern and an affixed 1 1/2 inch brass plate on the handle. When the series ended, Producer Louis F. Edelman had the knife encased in a shadowbox and displayed in his office. The blade is 10 inches with an overall length of 15 inches. The Bowie knife is displayed in a 21 by 7 1/2 by 2 1/2 inch vintage shadowbox. PROVENANCE From the Estate of Louis F.
