A "Pin Girl" costume worn in the drug-induced, Busby Berkeley inspired "Gutterballs" dream sequence in The Big Lebowski (Polygram/Working Title, 1998). The Dude, played by Jeff Bridges, passes out after his White Russian is drugged by Jackie Treehorn, played by Ben Gazzara. In his dream, a Viking version of Maude Lebowski, played by Julianne Moore, is surrounded by a group of stylized dancing Pin Girls. This costume consists of a two-tone burgundy and creme colored top and matching skirt with a red leather belt and matching shoes. The costume is completed with an elaborate bowling pin headdress built on a custom skull cap covered with matching burgundy material and topped with a series of handpainted foam bowling pins.
