A group of three items from the Muhammad Ali biographical film The Greatest (Columbia Pictures, 1977). The first item is a 130-page production-used The Greatest script that features front and back black flap covers and gold colored “The Greatest” lettering on the front cover. The script is signed on the front lower cover by Ali in silver marker, and is additionally inscribed and signed on the first interior page by the film’s producer, John Marshall, and reads “To Bud/ See you at the premiere./ Regards. John Marshall/ Producer “The Greatest”/ April. 8!!/77” in blue marker. The second item is a ticket to The Greatest world premiere at the Plitt Century Plaza Theatre in Century City, California, on May 19, 1977. The ticket is signed by Ali at the bottom in blue marker. The third is a one-sheet movie poster for The Greatest featuring a large image of Ali. Ali played himself in The Greatest , a film presenting his life story based on the book he wrote with Herbert Muhammad and Richard Durham. The movie follows Ali's life from the 1960 Olympics to his famous 1974 Rumble in the Jungle fight with George Foreman. The film includes actual footage from Ali’s boxing matches. Poster, folded.
