A Ken-Wel brand pair of punching bag gloves signed by Muhammad Ali. The leather gloves feature a "Ken-Wel" stitched label, elastic wrist band and thumb sleeve, and a stamp reading “140.” Ken-Wel was a sporting goods manufacturing company from the state of New York that specialized in leather goods, particularly baseball mitts and boxing gloves. The company operated from the time of World War I until the company was out of business by the 1960s. The period of operation of the Ken-Wel company dates these gloves as being manufactured before 1960. Each glove is signed by Ali in black marker.
