$5,000
A large, framed limited edition serigraphic portrait of Sandy Koufax by artist LeRoy Neiman from 2001. The career Dodger is depicted mid-pitch, about to deliver one of his devastating fastballs, in Neiman's characteristically colorful style. Koufax retired in 1966 as one of the most successful pitchers in all of baseball, having won four World Series championships, three Cy Young awards, and three pitching Triple Crowns. Over his career Koufax pitched four no-hitters, one perfect game and played in seven All-Star games. The portrait is signed "Sandy Koufax" in the lower right corner and "LeRoy Neiman" in the lower left corner in pencil. The serigraph is hand numbered "32/359" giving this print the unique distinction of being the only print produced with its edition number matching Koufax's Dodger uniform number. 44 1/4 by 34 1/2 inches PROVENANCE From the Collection of Harlan Werner Categories:
