The 1933 Yankees had a wealth of future baseball Hall-of-Fame Inductees on its roster including Ruth, Gehrig, Combs, Gomez, Pennock, Ruffing, and Sewell. In 1933, Babe Ruth batted .301, with 34 home runs, 103 RBIs, and led the league with 114 walks. Ruth was selected to play right field in the first Major League Baseball All-Star Game, held on July 6, 1933, hitting the first home run in the game's history.
