A baseball home plate signed by New York Yankees legendary outfielder Joe DiMaggio. The home plate is housed in a display featuring two black and white and two color images of DiMaggio in his Yankees uniform. Included are two "First Day Covers," with the first commemorating the 50th anniversary of the beginning of DiMaggio's 56-game hitting streak in 1951. The cover features an image of DiMaggio and a Lou Gehrig 25-cent stamp and is postmarked "Stadium Sta. [Station], Bronx , N.Y., May 15, 1991." The second cover is from Canada and commemorates baseball's 1991 All-Star Game. The cover features an image of DiMaggio, is postmarked "9. VII. 91/ Toronto" and reads at the bottom "1991 All-Star Game/ Toronto Skydome - Canada/ As guests of President Bush, Joe DiMaggio and/ Ted Williams Were Flown To The All Star Game/ Aboard Air Force One." The display also features an engraved plaque that reads "Joe Dimaggio/ 'The Yankee Clipper.' " Framed.
