A group of nine double-sided leaves from Stan Laurel's personal scrapbook, featuring an envelope humorously addressed to Laurel via the names of the many productions he'd been in, concluding with an address in Camberwell, London, and having an ink-stamp cancellation from what appears to be February 14, 1912; a trimmed one-inch photograph of Charlie Chaplin taken during the filming of Tillie's Punctured Romance (Keystone, 1914), Chaplin's first feature film and the first ever feature-length comedy (next to Chaplin is Fatty Arbuckle and Mabel Normand in her maid's uniform for the film); a trimmed 5 by 2 inch photograph of Laurel dressed as Chaplin's character "The Tramp," marked "Crown Studio, Bridgeport, Conn." next to an ink on paper drawing depicting Laurel dressed as "The Tramp" in a scene from his Keystone Trio act "The Nutty Burglars"; together with numerous photographs and press clippings related to Laurel's films and vaudeville performances. 14 by 12 inches PROVENANCE From the Collection of Lois Laurel Hawes Categories: Laurel & Hardy
