This unpainted and unfinished solid urethane version of Faramir’s scabbard, complete with leather belts and metal detailing, was created from molds of the original hero scabbard by the talented craftsman at Weta Workshop during production of The Lord of the Rings (New Line Cinema, 2001, 2002, 2003). The solid and lightweight style of the scabbard would have been used for the safety and convenience of actor David Wenham when the sword was unsheathed and a hero version was not required. This prop was part of the collection of authentic production-created movie props procured by official New Line Cinema licensee, United Cutlery, directly from Weta Workshop and Three Foot Six Productions between 1999-2004 for reference in producing a collectible replica version for fans of the film franchise. The scabbard has a Weta logo, reference number, date, and notation of the recipient and project engraved into it. Lengh, 36 inches PROVENANCE Accompanied by a detailed certificate of authenticity from the licensee confirming the history of this production made prop and its use in creating United Cutlery’s The Lord of the Rings Weapons and Armor line of reproductions as well as the original Weta shipping letter to United Cutlery.
