A black wool blend jacket with faux front zipper and Velcro, quick-change, front closure. The jacket is heavily embellished with gold tone metal police shields at each shoulder, a metal armband on right arm, and metal embellishment at collar. Additionally adorned with molded plastic belt in the style of an ammunition belt and individually sewn, overlapping plates in the style of bandoliers. The right sleeve of the jacket is hemmed considerably shorter than the left to allow Michael Jackson's signature laced armband to remain visible. The interior of the jacket features Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush labels. The jacket was worn by Jackson on stage throughout his 1992-1993 Dangerous World Tour. The jacket was subsequently used as the basis for the monumental statue of Jackson that featured prominently in the teaser film created to promote his 1995 HIStory album. This statue was additionally used in the cover artwork for the album and HIStory Tour program. This is one of two identical jackets created for Jackson's use throughout the Dangerous Tour.
