A heavy white cotton canvas fencing jacket and pants by Santelli. The jacket features pinned measurements and extensive black markings and notations, in the hand of both Dennis Tompkins and Michael Jackson, made while Jackson was trying this costume on for size. This fencing costume was purchased at the West Los Angeles Fencing School and used as the inspiration for the black fencing costume worn by Jackson during a photoshoot with photographer Herb Ritts. Ritts photographed Jackson on many occasions and directed the 1992 video for Jackson's “In the Closet” single taken from the 1991 Dangerous album. This piece is featured on page 138 of The King of Style by Michael Bush. Categories: Michael Jackson
