A group of 11 items relating to Greta Garbo's friendship with Sam Green. The one time friends had a break after Green leaked news of Garbo's visit to his home in Colombia. Items include an article with paparazzi photographs of Green and Garbo; an information sheet about travel to Colombia given to Garbo by Green; a small book entitled A Sketch of Colombia produced by Colombia Information Service of New York also given to Garbo by Green; a postcard with an image of a home in Cartagena with message on verso that reads "this is what my house looks like - only I don't have any red pots. The red wine is very good after the bottle has been open for one hour"; a recipe written on Samuel Adams Green stationery; a piece of Samuel Adams Green stationery with a phone number for Cecile (de Rothschild) in Paris; five letters written on Samuel Adams Green stationery; a letter and two postcards relating to a trip to Glenveigh, County Dongal; and a postcard from Green written in 1985 from Jerusalem asking if he can call her. Garbo's great-nephew happened to be with Garbo after the Green incident, and Green telephoned asking what he could do to repair their friendship, to which Garbo replied, "You can hang up."
