Cyril Connolly (Palinurus) The Unquiet Grave (NY: Harper, 1945), inscribed "To G. G./ a wonderful book for a wonderful woman/ W.W./ 1949/ this is the way I imagine Armand would talk to Antoinette." Walter Wanger (1894-1968) was the director/producer for the unmade film "La Duchesse de Langeais" that Garbo was contracted to film in 1949-51. These are the names of the lead characters.
