A group of three books from Greta Garbo's library: Edmond Rostand's Cyrano de Bergerac (Stockholm: Albert Bonniers, 1921), also inscribed "Greta/ Julen 1932" on the cover; Jakob Lorbers' Die Grundfragen des Lebens (Wurttemburg: Neu-Salems-Verlag, 1930), also with a long inscription in German on the frontispiece that translates to: Up toward the "light" by "rising up"/ From Greta Garbo/ To the memory/ THE BASIC QUESTIONS OF LIFE/ Your soul, too, comes from "above"!/ In play it's often out of touch with the world .../(illegible) Luck./ The longing (illegible);/ Rejoice!
