Lamarr lived at the Blackstone for three years after leaving Los Angeles for New York. The letter reads in part, "Dear Muffin - I am so happy to see you again...Please write some of that silly talk between us - enough for a record, ore [sic] possibly a stage act in London...will tell you about everything! Love Hedy." The second is a drawing with a note that reads "I love you! Reggie I am your wire grasshopper." Lamarr called Gardiner "The man she should have married."
