The ball features 34 signatures including Yankees team members Yogi Berra, Joe DiMaggio, Johnny Mize, Phil Rizzuto, Hank Bauer, Bobby Brown, Joe Collins, Tom Ferrick, Gil McDougald, Tom Morgan, Ernie Nevel, Joe Ostrowski, Stub Overmire, Allie Reynolds, Gene Woodling, manager Casey Stengel and coach Frank Crosetti. The ball is additionally signed by Giants team members Monte Irvin, then rookie Willie Mays, Al Dark, Larry Jansen, Whitey Lockman, Bill Rigney, Eddie Stanky, Bobby Thomson, Wes Westrum, and manager Leo Durocher. The ball is also signed by then radio play-by-play announcer Russ Hodges, then Yankees announcer Mel Allen, then National League President Ford Frick, former President of the United States Herbert Hoover, former Yankee Bill Dickey, and former Chicago White Sox players Jimmie Dykes and Lew Fonseca. The 1951 World Series was the last for Yankee legend Joe DiMaggio and the first for then rookie Willie Mays. The Yankees won the series in six games.
