A Reach Official American League Baseball (Harridge) signed on-site at the 1937 Major League Baseball (MLB) All-Star game by members of the American and National League All-Star teams. The baseball is signed by 18 All-Star team members including Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Jimmie Foxx, Hank Greenberg, Earl Averill, Harlond Clift, Pepper Martin, Lefty Gomez, Red Rolfe, Joe Cronin, Mel Harder, and Gabby Hartnett, whose signature has been enhanced in blue ballpoint pen. The ball is additionally signed by Baseball Hall of Fame Inductees Babe Ruth, Joe McCarthy and Joe Sewell, former MLB players Dave Keefe and Art Fletcher, and then MLB Commissioner Kenesaw Landis. The fifth MLB All-Star game was played on July 7, 1937, at Griffith Stadium in Washington, D.C. President Franklin D. Roosevelt was in attendance as the American League defeated the National League 8-3. All signatures were obtained on-site at the 1937 All-Star game by Whalen Monica.
